A little known tip for you; most rental companies now advertise very cheap rates but when you look there is only basic insurance and a large excess to pay if anything happens, they then offer you full insurance for anything up to 25 Euro per day! Another Rip-Off we are treated to.

To get around this you can actually buy excess insurance from another company for a fraction (about 3-4 Euro per day) of what the rental companies charge.
